Getting Started

Installation

  • Install Chrome Extension

    Superforce works on any Chrome based browser. Go here to install the extension in Chrome.

Using the Extension

  • Opening the Command Palette

    Press Command + Shift + K on Mac or Control + Shift + K on Windows to open the Superforce Command Palette.

    You can customize the keyboard shortcut by visiting chrome://extensions/shortcuts


  • Closing the Command Palette

    You can use the same keyboard shortcut above to close the command palette. You can also press escape or click outside of the palette to close it.


  • Navigation

    Pressing Enter will open the item that you are on. Pressing Cmd/Ctrl+Enter will open the item in a new tab.

    You can press Option/Alt+Enter on certain screens to modify the behavior / action.

Commands

  • Home

    This takes you to whatever the Home page is of the Salesforce Lightning App that you are currently in.


  • Setup

    This page replaces the standard "Setup" menu in Salesforce. All links are accessible here. Try typing "Sales Processes" or "Support Processes" to find items. You can open items in the current tab by pressing Enter or you can open items in a new tab by pressing Command/Control+Enter


  • Object Manager

    You can use this page to select an Object. Once you do so, you can access the fields for that object without, go to any of the traditional side panels for the object manager, create new things for that object (like layouts and validation rules, fields, lightning record pages).


  • Flows

    This will return all Flows, both activated and deactivated, and sort them by last modified date. Pressing Enter will open the flow directly in the flow builder. Pressing Option/Alt+Enter will open the Flow Versions page for that flow instead of opening in Flow Builder.


  • Users

    Shows all Active Users for this instance. Pressing Enter will open the User. Pressing Option/Alt+Enter will copy the User's Salesforce ID (18-character).


  • Queues

    Shows all Queues in this instance. Select a queue and press Enter to open it, or press Option/Alt+Enter to copy the Queue ID.


  • Profiles

    Returns all Profiles for the org and lets you navigate directly to them. Press Option+Enter to copy the Profile ID.


  • Permission Sets

    Returns all permission sets for the org and lets you navigate to the record directly.


  • Record Types

    Returns all Record Types for the org and lets you navigate to them directly. Press Option+Enter to copy the Record Type ID.


  • Formula Functions

    Shows all formula functions available for Formula Builder, Flow Builder, and lets you directly copy the example string for pasting wherever necessary.


  • Validation Rules

    Returns all validation rules for this org. You can search rules by name, object, or search by error message.


  • Audit Trail

    This returns the audit trail for this org, and allows you to search and filter for specific items, instead of having to download the csv for audit trial and go hunting.


  • Reports

    Returns all Reports for this org, sorted by last modified date. Open any report. Works in "Analytics" tab too.


  • Dashboards

    Returns all Dashboards for this org, sorted by last run date. Open any Dashboard. Works in "Analytics" tab too.


  • Apex Classes

    Returns all Apex Classes for this org and allows you to navigate to the standard page for that Class directly.


  • Apex Triggers

    Returns all Apex Triggers for this org and allows you to navigate to the standard page for that Trigger directly.


  • Developer Console

    Takes you to the developer console in Salesforce.


  • New [Object]

    Typing New will allow you to create new records. If a record is creatable in your org, it will take you to the page to create that record. It respsects the Record Type selection that a user may have to input.


  • New [Metadata]

    You can also create more admin type items like "New Flow", "New User", "New Custom Report Type", etc.


  • My [Settings]

    You can navigate to any personal setting by typing the name of it. For example "My Email to Salesforce" or "My Personal Information"


  • Go to [Tab] / [App]

    This replaces the App Switcher in Salesforce. Use this to go to any custom app (example: Sales, Sales Console, Service Console, etc.) or to navigate to any tab (example: Opportunities, Leads, Contacts, etc.)


  • Settings

    This is where you can control your Superforce Settings. Try out several themes, toggle the breadcrumbs (page indicators), activate your Superforce Pro license, or quickly find this page.


  • Search Salesforce: [Query]

    You can search all Contacts, Leads, Cases, Opportunities, and Accounts in this page by typing your search query in the main command palette and selecting this option. Will return any matches. You can fall back to a broader Salesforce search if needed. Duplicates are highlighted.


  • Inspect All Fields

    When you are on a valid record, this will return all fields and data for that record, regardless of what the page layout is showing. Shows api names and the api values.
